So I’m hopefully going to get to make a few perfumes tonight and I will post them as soon as I can so that you can get an idea of how they look and the size and all those wonderous things

The use of solid perfumes made using essential oils can be used for aromatherapy but are versatile and portable because of the form they come in. They’re made using beeswax, a carrier oil (such as jojoba oil, vitamin E oil or almond oil), and essential oils or CO2s for some plants from which essential oils cannot be extracted.

Essential oils are made by taking parts of a plant and putting them into a machine called a distiller where the oil is then removed. The beeswax used is made from wax from glands that bees have on their abdomens, they use to make their honeycombs and it is harvested from there (Methods).

To make solid perfume the wax is melted by putting beeswax and oil in a glass bowl and put in saucepan filled with water, the wax is melted by the boiling water. At this point I like to add a few drops of vitamin E oil, then I quickly mix in the essential oil, and at this point I have to hurry so that essential oils don’t evaporate and lose their smell. So then this hot wax mixture is poured into the container or mold you want so that it can harden, but so that it goes more quickly I put it in the freezer.

As I said before solid perfume works for aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to stimulate your senses in a way that is beneficial to your physical and mental health. The way it works is that when you inhale them, the molecules are carried from your olfactory bulb to a part in your brain that controls the nervous and hormonal systems, which also control things such as memory and behavior (Boots).

Different essential oils work for different things, for example, lavender can work for things like relaxation, helping you sleep, and it also helps for allergies, I have personally be using some lavender oil for allergies and it really works, and it’s also worked for the sleep part.

In case you were wondering what it actually looks like I have been making solid perfumes and have a wide selection of essential oils so if you want a specific blend I can make some for you.

P.S. this was totally not a manuscript I had to write for school haha well at least it came in handy
